I suggest u seek out online tool auctions in your area..... and catalogs .
They will have estimates and sold prices and good photos and descriptions of recent sales.

 

And a lot of us are ladies here. I started working with my parents in their shop 67 years ago so I have a pretty good knowledge of antiques and collectibles. We can help identify things so when you do search for prices it'll be easier.

 

I always enjoy when the chatgpt bots use that weird double-space period/comma. Makes 'em easier to disregard.

 

Just a question to be sure, do you mean that you are new to collecting old tools, or that you are looking for new tools?
