    that is interesting. It’s so hard to tell on shiny metal in photos. Sometimes silver objects look gold and sometimes gold objects look silver in photos. I wonder if they could have used an electroplating technique just on that plaque part. Like if you were painting and you’d apply painters tape around a medallion you wanted to paint a different color than the surrounding area. It’s not an applied plaque so if it’s a different color there must have been some trick used to achieve it. Usually on these gold filled pieces there is a spot or two you can see a worn down dull looking area. Sometimes just a little scrape or something that eventually through wear became big enough to notice. Like when you’re looking at a gold filled pocket watch. Sometimes you swear you’re looking at a solid gold case. No way it could be filled, then you look at the stem and you see it’s worn down to dull brass. Nice stick either way.
