    hi folks

something else i found in a chazza this week, was priced at £5 in a cabinet, so someone obviously thought as well it might be something better than costume

again no hallmarks, and was very tarnished all over, hoping this one has some age as well, but unsure

nor familiar with the design or type but the knot is interlinked and moves slightly not like a fixed knot

any thoughts or info on age and design appreciated

Very sweet little ring. I think it is 19th century, but let's wait for the others.
    And have it tested.:)

I think early nineteenth and gold. Nice thing.

    awesome thanks Obb

i've given up testing fluids at home, especially the acid ones, as the last time i tried the bottle bust open/disintegrated when i squeezed it and went everywhere. all over my face, neck etc

the bottle was about a year old and had gone cloudy inside so that was probably why

didn't cause any lasting burns or anything as i shot into the shower but quickly stained a wood floor white

was more freaked out than anything else as you can image :nurse:

I was thinking 1840 or so, and also gold. My g-g-grandmother's ring has similar 'sketchy' engraving and it dates from ca 1840. (It also has a nasty stammer.:wacky:)

You gotta love it when the marks are illegible or missing altogether, and the shop thinks it's costume.:p Then again I'm wearing a brass ring with fake 18k marks, so...
