Two old Reddy Kilowatt porcelain signs

A young man brought these two 8" steel porcelain signs in to the store today. He said that his great grandfather worked for the Texas Electric Company for a while, and that his dad found these signs some years ago in the rafters of the attic of his great grandfather's house when he passed away. They are in near mint condition.
I know they are post 1946, because that's when Reddy got a makeover. I've only seen one other sign on line that wasn't associated with a particular power company, and that one was 24" in diameter.
Can anyone help me with more information? I bought one, very cheap, but told him I didn't want to take advantage of him and offered to sell the other one on ebay for him. Should I do an auction or a BIN? What should I start it at? Thanks for any and all comments.

Reddy aint doin what he used to

Don't mention any particular company as that may limit some bidding

    Hopefully the porcelain sells it

Odd that there are no mounting holes. How would they be displayed? Also, that isn't looking like porcelain to me.

A piece of steel with a porcelain front?

Without much to go on, I would definitely try auction style first with a decent starting price. Old signs like that, to me, are valuable.

Check these out. Especially the bottom one.

Forgot - as Terry said, the porcelain should more than quadruple the price.

The last piece I sold, without the porcelain front, was about 20% of the same piece porcelain covered. And I'm trying to remember company. Black, rectangular, a bit beat up. A heavy equipment maker, used on their HUGE trucks, cranes, etc.
If I stop trying to remember, it will pop in. CYL, maybe.

Your first link is wishful thinking. My tie clasp didn't get the opening bid of $5.

The next link is to a Chinese made knock off. Those seem to be selling well now.

So what should I start it at Terry?

Start it at ten bucks. If you start higher you get one bid.

Are you sure that isn't a glass bead coating?
Does it 'light up' when illuminated with a flashlight?

I am not sure that this is porcelain either with that pebbled texture. Also, are you sure these are steel? Look like aluminum to me.

OK, guys 'n gals, I'm still trying to learn. I know the ones in this link are not identical, but I was thinking similar enough. PLEASE give me some hints as to why they shouldn't be used as comps.

Something showing different than typed for above.

So edited and repeat for what should be a correct link.

Okay, it is aluminum, and it is reflective, so not porcelain.
Does that make it significantly less desirable?

    Probably about 10% of porcelain

    But....you may have overpaid !

I don't think I overpaid - he only wanted $20 and since that's more than I had, really, that's what I gave him.
