    Have acquired a necklace.
Looks to be gold, but I'm struggling to make out the hallmarks .

Any info would be greatly appreciated

    Regards

Very hard to decipher. Post pics of the rest. The folks in here usually like to see the whole piece

    Ok....

Does the 1st pic look like a squashed 375?

Or is it C18 if you turn upside down??

    I'll post a pic now

That first one is too blurry. Try retaking and posting

As clear as I can get it. It's tiny - looks like 375, but it seems too dark and weighty to be 9ct

I think I see the 5 you see to the right of the bale that’s covering up everything else. Can you move that bale to get a better pic of everything else?

If its 375 then its 9k or 9ct
Take it to a jeweller or pawn broker.
    Its not antique

I was going to scrap it in.

Don't want to be getting 9ct prices if its 18 or even 21ct !!

Thought somebody may have been able to decipher the hallmarks and maybe help with purity

Better photos, on a black or white background and less finger prints .
The loops suggest you might have a long life and may travel.

In the 1st and 2nd photo one mark in each photo is covered with solder and will never be read.

Took it to antique dealer for scrap.
He said it was C18 (18ct)

Anyway, 16g... paid me £550, so I'm happy with that.

    Thanks for your help

Take the money and run, as they say. Did the dealer test it?

    16g x18k = £630.69 at today's closing.
